The LGSL Revolution is Underway!
Travel Teams Added to LGSL Offerings
Leesburg (June 4, 2008) - The Leesburg Girls Softball League (LGSL) announced today plans to incorporate 10U and 12U travel teams to their overall Girls Softball Program.
The Leesburg Revolution is a select travel program which will run under the umbrella of LGSL and operate independently as a Class B travel organization.“The population and talent pool in Leesburg has grown tremendously in the past several years and we found it was time to provide the community with an opportunity for a higher level of play,” said Todd Evans, president, LGSL. Further questions and answers regarding the program can be found on the website at http://www.eteamz.com/RevolutionFastpitch. Roger Turner, Director of Softball, LGSL, added, “The Revolution is currently forming 10U and 12U teams, however, we expect the program to expand into other age groups as the players develop.”
The LGSL Board will be building a coaching staff for both the 10U and 12U divisions from current LGSL coaches in good standing. Coaches need to submit a short resume outlining their experiences to director@leesburggirlssoftball.org by Monday, June 9. The LGSL Board will review and determine the coaches from these applications.
Player tryouts will take place the week of August 4th. LGSL will formally announce the tryouts and locations in July. Players from within the league and outside the league are eligible and encouraged to tryout. All players are required to register with LGSL. An early fall registration special of $45 is good until June 30.
