Stone Hill Middle School Travel Basketball Results: January 27, 2008 


The Stone Hill boys 6 travel team lost to Seneca Ridge 36-18.  Honorable mention goes to Eric Leith for his strong offensive performance and Bryan Magnuson for his outstanding hustle.

The Stone Hill Middle School Girls Grades 6/7 Team lost a heartbreaker 29-26 versus Simpson Middle School.  Lynn Brantley, Lauren Moore and Dasia Spivey combined for 24 points.  Once again the entire team gave a great effort. 

Despite severe foul trouble, and the fact that all three of the Stingrays forwards fouled out with less than 14 minutes of total playing time, the Stone Hill 7th Grade boys moved guards to the forward positions and played a tough game ultimately loosing to Simpson Middle School 50 to 49 in overtime.  Simar Chawla scored 26 points, had 3 assists and 4 steals.  Kevin Galang scored 12 points, had 2 assists and 2 steals.  David Calder and J.P. Castro each scored 4 points.  Mac Ficker led the Stingrays with 9 rebounds, and J.P. Castro had 6. 

Stone Hill 8th Grade Girls vs Simpson
The SHMS 8th grade girls pulled out a 50-28 win over Simpson. Kyara Byner was the teams top scorer with 18 points, Macy Jones put up 10, Jessie White scored 8 and Gozi Mickles and Caroline Herndon both contributed 6.  

The Stone Hill Boys 8th Grade team defeated Simpson 59-26.
